Isle of Man funfair

I visited the I of M in about 1958/60 and can remember a small funfair where the roundabouts were powered by water. They were fed by a small lake and you opened a sluice gate to divert the water which then turned the ride. Does anyone else remember this or know what happened to it.

could be the laxey fair, but doubt it is as elaborate these days.
although, having said that. there is a water powered carousel at silverdale glen. i think its just been reopened.

No, it wasn't as colourfull. You must remember it was 50 years ago.
