Thanks very much for the name. Had read about it about 2 years ago and thought it might have been Heracles but wasnt entirely sure. Thanks for clearing it up.

Heracles was killed by the shirt of nessus - soaked in the blood of a dead centaur which caused him such great irritation that he threw himself on to a pyre.
