A general answer would probably be pretty much "pregnant, barefoot and in the kitchen" - the Greeks may have invented democracy but they generally considered women inferior to men and most philosophers considered them incapable of reason. But it would partly depend on where in Greece they were as there was no overall Greek polity. Aparently Spartan women were (relatively) freer than Athenian women, even though Athenian (male) political culture was more democratic.

as today, would also depend on how rich they were, and what social level they belonged to., also NOT like today, the opinion of their father/husband on what their life shoud be like

Suffice to say it was not very much fun...Women had it hard in Greece back then (and across the rest of the world as well).
