What was the name of the German General(?) who rejected the ceasefire at the end of WW2, and fought his way through the Soviets in order to surrender to the western allies?
We rejected their surrender and handed them all over to the Soviets, he ended up in a Gulag in Russia, I forget his fate too.

This was except for the SS(?), drunk(?) in the Tribunale Building who refused to surrender to anybody. The Kiwis left it to the Slavs to bombard the building and accept their surrender.
