Swansea,what happened to the Park Hotel ?

As a student in the 1960s, I used to have an occasional drink in the Park hotel on Portland Street......on a recent visit to Swansea I did notice it had gone. What happened to it, when did it close?...I think it's an HSBC branch.

Hello there,
After much "Googling" I can't seem to find anything.
BUT
There is a Sommerfield in Kingsway,and the side of it stretches down part of Portland Street.
If you ring them they may know what happened to The Park Hotel?

It went bankrupt - and HSBC took it over as the executor.....

Thanks DTcrossword fan. I stood on Portland Street for the first time in 30+ years and was convinced that the HSBC branch corresponded to the area that I knew as the Park Hotel.....I still sing Cwm Rhondda as "Bread from Evans', Beer from the Park Hotel"
