Humber bicycles and motors

An advert on the back of an old (early 1900s) map is for Humber, Limited, and describes the company's involvement with '35 years of cycle manufacture' and [latterly] motors (cars). Does anyone know the Victorian-era history of Humber?

In Hull there is a bloke who restores Humber cars. He has the cars that used to transport the Royal Family. We are actually using him for our wedding.
