Anyone a source for cheching which US state would have had coal mines in the late 1890s out of Connecticut and Minesotta please? The actual town is called Danielson.

thanks for the reploes, I've only thought he might have been a coal miner in the USA because when he came home to England about 1900 he was a coal miner in Derbyshire. I guess he could have been anything else in the US!
Danielson is a borough in the town of Killingly, CT. The town of Killingly was the birthplace of Charles Tiffany, who I suppose has a connection to mining (of the diamond variety).
