brightening wood doors
we have just bought some second hand kitchen units in light oak real wood, as we have extended the kichen, they are a good match for our existing units but look very dull in comparison, would it do to use a brushing wax on them, opinions please.

IMO it would be worth a try, but first check on a discrete part of the back of a door before committing yourself. I'd suspect there were many options down the DIY sheds you could try. Worst comes to worst you could apply the same treatment to old & new and see if it matches them even better.
