Painting a Wheelbarrow

I have an old metal wheelbarrow which I would like to use for decorative purposes in the garden don't really want it use it as a planter but just to set potted plants in, what type of paint do I need can I use masonry paint? Suggestions would be helpful.

Unless its a stone wheelbarrow(!), don't use masonary. If its a metal barrow, I would suggest using Hammerite paint. Comes in several colours and is designed to 'paint over' rust, so the barrow hasn't got to be spotlessly clean.
and you could always use hammerite as a base coat to protect the barrow, the maybe outdoor glosses seeing as this would increase the colours you could use.
