I have recently purchased a second hand mobility scooter but have nowhere other than the back hall to store it, i have ordered a small shed so it can live under the kitchen window,so far so good, i now need a waterproof extension lead to go from kitchen to shed, any recomends would be welcome
I suspect a permanent solution would need to be buried a yard or so down in pipe from house to shed, but for temporary use as long as both ends are not exposed to the elements, then cable/lead itself tends to be waterproof. If you are just using power for the odd hour I'd use any extension lead from the DIY sheds. Roll it out when needed and roll it back up when done. But I'd look for one that is rewireable if I were you as the usual practice with the non-reel ones is to prevent you repairing them when needed in order to force you into buying new. Make sure you get the right power rating though. I don't know how much curent a scooter takes, but better to overrate than under.
Since you're under the kitchen window, Owdie, best solution would be to spur off a kitchen socket, through the wall, and put a waterproof socket on the outside wall.
If your sockets aren't protected by an RCD (trip) at the moment, it would have to be a socket with one built-in.
