Trouble Replacing Oven Door Hinge

I have a Flavel Finesse 100 FN10 FRS
Just before Christmas the top door hinge on the fan oven broke (the pin had sheared in half) I brought a replacement online, which arrived today & I thought screwing the new one on, in place of the old one would be a doddle...
However, the screws wouldn't bite & it seemed a plate, into which the screws go, behind the front panel had slipped out of alignment...
I cant see how to get it back into place. Will I need to take it all apart & if so how? Please, this has driven me bonkers all morning. Thanks

Does the hidge go behind the glass?

No. The door is off completely. The front of the oven is all metal.

Has the hinge two screws? If so, slowly slacken the 2nd screw so it comes in to line with the hole, you should see the backing bracket line up, let me know.

The hinge has three screws. Currently the door, hinge & screws are all separate from the cooker. I tried screwing them in, that was when I realised the backing bracket had slipped. It seems to have moved quite a way down. Im thinking Im going to have to dismantle more of the cooker to be able to get at it, but cant seem to figure how the front comes off. Ive tried searching online for a repair manual or similar with a breakdown diagram, but to no avail.

Have you thought about using a magnet to move the backplate into position?

Been there before Misty...I think it will be a major dismantle job :-( It may be quicker in the long run.

The door & hinges are off the main body of the cooker! is that right? so the hinges screw into the left & right hand side of the cooker body? if thats the case Misty, the side panels will have to be removed, whats your area?

Tried magnet. Doesn't help that the whole cooker body is metal... Not sure the backing plate is..
How do I dismantle then..?

Hi Misty a happy new year, looking at the pics, the white door at the top, when you open it can you see any screws not connected to the door on the oven casing? at the sides are there any screws that you have missed? also on the underside top of the casing? the fan should be at the back /top of the cooker, that should not restrict the removal of the inner cabinet, I replaced my Element & that only screwed into place, you have obviously removed the Elc Plug from the scocket

Ive had a chat this morning with the electrician who has previously worked on this cooker fo me. He thinks there are screws on the underside of the side panel & at the back that I should be able to remove to gat the side off & then access the area where the backing plates have slipped...
Will let you know how it goes...

I've Fixed it!!
set about things this afternoon, took every single visible screw out around the general area. Was unable to remove the side panel, but from the back, once the back panel was off, I could see the offending back plate & as Mother Nature blessed me with hideously long arms, I was able to reach in & hold it in place whilst the hinge was screwed on from the front. Hurrah.
The bottom one was altogether more complicated, as i couldn't reach in far enough, due to all the insulating foam & the actual oven.
Hmm. What would Macgyver do..?
I had a telescopic magnet which I was able to poke into the gap & sufficiently hold the back plate in the general area, until, from the front, the screws bit & pulled it into place. Again Hurrah.
It sounds all quite simple, but it took AGES & a few profanities.. but I did it, it's back together & all works. Am proud. Thanks to you all for your words of wisdom & support.
