Hardwood Flooring

We have a lacquered floor in our hallway which has a number of dark scuff marks which I have tried to remove without success .....Any ABrs have a solution, please?

Toothpaste gets quite a few positive mentions on the web.

The woman in this video gets to it after using a 'Magic Eraser', so that's another possibility:
