Roof Insulation

Hi,I have ceiling spot lights in my lean to kitchen I need to increase the thickness of the insulation. can I cover the lights up there or leave them visible because of a fire risk?

If you can access them from above .. put terracota plant pots over the fitting before you lay the insulation.

Plant pots are a neat idea ;o)
There are proper Fire-hoods available if you prefer.

Better still, change the lamps to LEDs. No heat. No need to worry.
