I bought 2 basin waste and chrome plugs from Screwfix and watched a video on YouTube on how to replace the waste. It went fine for the first one as that plumber used Plumbers Mate around the seal but the second one took a bit longer as that plumber had used white silicon and it took an age to clean. As I have never attempted to do any plumbing work before and have no leaks I'm pretty pleased with the outcome. The YouTube was a must though and would never have attempted it without watching it, so thanks to everyone who put these on for us novices.
