Filler In A Pin Sized Hole

how long would it take for filler to dry, if I've filled a pin sized hole?

How long after this can i paint?

Obviously the risk is it's not yet dried completely so when i paint it cracks.. but it is only pin sized.

If it is actually "pin-size", in other words really tiny, why bother filling it? The paint might even fill it.

Not done it yet, it will be for plaster board.

Buy tiny tube or tub or bag of something cheap for interior use and follow instructions. Give it 24 hours after application (unless it says it sets quicker than that). Apply it slightly proud of the wall surface and sand it down lightly when dry (use a nail sanding stick if you have one.)

Why not? Have you no patience? If the instructions say one hour, then go ahead after one hour. Just use your common sense, but please read the instructions.

Not a lot, but if the instructions say a time then i shall stick to it, but i've not been able to find anything online

If you're able to get out to a hardware shop it'll be a lot quicker than going online. I would just press some oil paint in with a palette knife, but that'd need to be left for a few days. You could even mash up some bread or a bit of chewed up paper with a bit of wall paint and use that. When it's dry you can lick it smooth if you have a cat's tongue.

Good luck. And don't forget to post when it's all done. Everyone must be gagging to hear about the end product - a few photos would be exciting! What colour are you proposing to paint the filled hole? A nice e contrasting tone, or just the same as the rest of the wall? Two schools of thought about that one.

Well i'm taking some photos down, so i shall be filling the hole, but then painting the whole wall magnolia. It's currently.. you guessed it! Magnolia.

I use toothpaste for tiny holes - works ok here & dried in 15 mins.

When you're finished painting just rehang the photos in the same locations. Result: you won't see any holes:)
