Freestanding Dishwasher Stuck Between Kitchen Units
13 Answers
The width of the dishwasher is 600mm. The gap between the units must be 601mm. I need to get it out but can't grip the sides. Similarly the gap at the top is about 2mm. Unlike a washing machine where you could open the door and grip inside either side of the door, there isn't anything to pull on. I'm thinking of buying a pair of strong suckers though they might just end up pulling the door off. I can't be the first to encounter this problem. Thanks

It would be very easy to get it in because you just shove it . I've pulled gently on the door but I'm getting the impression it is more likely that the door will pull off than the whole machine budge. It was installed over 10 years ago before I moved in. Why didn't they leave a bit of a gap , grr.
Quite often dishwashers have casters at the back and feet at the front. If you can (somehow) lift the front it might just break it away from the floor where it has become stuck over the years (let it drop back once it has been lifted). That just might enable you to pull it out by gripping the door edges and pulling carefully.
