no hot water and no heating - valiant water heater

the screen of the heater says it is experiencing a fault due to low pressure (reading below 18),. there are a number of buttons by the screen,does anyone know what can be done to get the pressure back up ?

Our Vaillant boiler has a circular pressure gague that has to be in the green zone for the boiler to work efficiently. When the pressure falls we top the system up by using the manual top up hose this is located on the pipes under the boiler and is very simple to do. Have you checked out the vaillant website down loads?
