pump cuts off

on checking .as my radiators were not heating properly i found that the pump cuts off after running for a minute or so.is it the pump that is faulty or is it some other reason the pump cuts out? all answers would be gratefully appreciated

It is the boiler that tells the pump when to run or when to switch off. If you're boiler thinks that it has reached desired temperatures then it will tell the pump to stop. It can and will do this prematurley if :-

A), The Heat Exchanger is comprimised and clogged up thus overheating
B), The over heat sensor, Thermistor or potentiometer is faulty. or
C), The Room stat is faulty.

as the problem seems to be inside boiler casing i will leave for corgi reg fitter .i will let you know what problem was when fixed.
