Last weekend I turned on one of my lights and the bulb exploded everywhere and the switch tripped in the fuse box. I replaced the bulb and re-set the switch but none of the lights on the circuit work. I've even replaced the fuse in the circuit breaker but still no lights. What could be the problem.

Hi Lulu75
When you replaced the fuse in the circuit box, did you puss the button to test it.
If it is still showing an orange colour, drop the trip switch agin and push up. If that does not work, then you may have a prblem with you circuit box.
You may need to call in an Electrician.
if its on a dimmer, you may have blown that
also cruella's answer, the light would not be on an rcd. i Think its halogen lights that mainly take out dimmers when they go. Also if you have upstairs lighting/downstairs lighting in your consumer unit, do the rest of the lights within these areas still work?

Thanks for your replies. I got an electrician and it turned out two wires were touching in another light socket which had caused a surge.
