why dont makers recommend use of paint pads i have found them to be brilliant?

I use them whenever I can. Do you think it's because you don't use as much paint ? We live in a commercial world

You have a much nicer finish when using a pad, the rollers tend to flick little spots of paint everywhere!

Why don't professionals used paint pads!!

Coz you get a better finish with a brush or roller if you know what you are doing! if you don't then used a pad!!

I used a tenna lady pad by mistake once, soaked up 5 litres of paint in one go!
