I use a wall paper stripping knife for the large areas and a proper thingy (lol) for the little nooks and crannies. You have to sand after words though. I wouldnt sand all the apint off that will take for ever unless you just want to key the surface and whack another layer of paint on.
You probably already know, but you'll make the job a lot simpler, regardless of the method used, if you'll remove the doors from the frames (put the removed screws immediately in a plastic food storage bag and label it as well as the hardware (hinges, pulls and decorative standards). One of the handiest items for the 'nooks and crannies' is a simple dentist's hook. Ironically, you can buy those types of things at most DIY stores (at least here in the U.S.), but one usually has to ask their location... Best of luck!
