yes the shower must have some form of switch control, other than the on/off on the shower itself.
there are rules for the distance of the switch and it must be a pull cord because your hands will be wet ,if it is in the bathroom
The pull switch must be 1.2m away minimum, I think.

thank you for the advice, i'll get a man on the job this week.
ive just looked at my showers and none of the 3 showers that i have, have pulls why is that?
Because it is a bath. LoL.
ho ho ho, youre so funny
Thanks:-)
because they arent electric showes, they probably come from mains. You'll find electric heats water up as it comes out whereas yours are connected to mains and you have to have hot water there before you can have one gina
Yes, we are only talking Power Showers that heat the water for the shower as one needs it.
thank you both for your answers
My electric shower doesn't have a pull cord. It has a switch outside the bathroom.

Installed last year, certified safe.
my blokes has a switch and a cord, Oooh get him
MIne has a 25 amp switch by the bathroom door which is 8' away from the shower. Installed by a qualified sparky over 10 years ago. I frequently forget to switch it off after a shower and SheWhoMustBeObeyed growls at me.
