Any novel ways to fill small gaps between arnished floorboards and skirting boards (and also around the radiators?!). Someone mentioned some sort of corking??
I think you mean caulking. You can get it at B&Q or Homebase etc. Whether you will be able to get a colour that will blend in with your already varnished floorboards I dont know. It usually comes in a tube similar to silicone sealants.
Sorry this post is in bits. I had a late night and my brain is just starting to function. The product you are looking for is called Decorators Caulk. I know you can paint over it, but i dont know about stain. Hope this helps.
I have just completed a similar project and decided to use wood quadrant to finish the job. A bit time consuming cutting all the angles but looks great and not too expensive (obviously depending on the size of your room). Gives a far more professional finish than caulk.
It depends how big your gap is - up to about 5mm I'd use caulking. More than that then maybe quadrant, which starts in size from 6mm and it perhaps fiddly to fit.
