gas central heating
i cannot get the 2 upstairs radiators to heat up..i have bled them . all the others are ok

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Hi DE-ANNE It could be a matter of balance in the system if you go round and turn anticlockwise on///off valve or fully open TRV then remove all the lock shield valve plastic heads the (smooth ones ) usually on the return side of the radiator and systematically go round the house and count how many turns it needs to clockwise turn off then turn back to original set with suitable square key or use the top from other end of rad if it has one and make and recorded//note of turns then try to find where the pump is maybe in the boiler??? then go to the nearest radiator to the pump and turn the lock shield square head clockwise to near close then go to next away from pump consult record/note and turn that one clockwise to near close and so on round downstairs then upstairs to each valve adjustments need just a bit more flow (less clockwise) to each lockshield you may need to spend a few hours to get the system balanced HTH Tez
the valve may be jammed at the side of the rad.unscrew the top or valvewheel and this exposes a small pin. pull it out, there is a small liquid loss, and clean it .i usually find a build up of crap around the middle i clean off with my fingernail.put it back and screw the head back on. try the heating again and see if the rad warms up
