Help! While making carrot soup, I forgot it was on a high and not only ruined a whole bunch of lovely organic carrots and sweet potatoes, but burnt the pan! I have tried soaking it in washing powder as recommended by friends, but it hasn't worked. My pan is a lovely blue enamel one and just the right size for making home-made soups and I am sad.
I recently did the same with a soup pot that my mum had for years. I put boiling water in it and washing up liquid which i kept repeating for 2 days a couple of times a day then used a brillo and the pan was gleaming.
