tiling problem

We have a bathroom where the stopcock/water access is behind our shower and has been tiled over.

When we had a leak, we had to smash the tiles in order to gain access.

Is it simple for a tiler to insert an access panel or do we need a joiner aswell? Any advice welcomed.

obviously we are well aware that this is a problem and shouldn't have happened. We have found ourselves in this situation through no fault of our own.
