I am looking for a set of plans to make a toy garage/petrol station for my Grandson - can anyone offer any advice please ?

You could get a Hobby's catalogue, (try WHSmith). It shows woodworking plans for kids toys. Have a look at what they have, here.

we bought two before xmas for our grandsons, from woolies, good price butno return policy, obviously, but my son says its also in the early learning centre shops.
its very good with a ramp , hoist /lift to the top deck and the petrol pump pings as you pretend to fill up your car
