Does upvc come in different qualities.

I am getting some quotes in for a conservatory, they are all quoting for the same spec but the costs vary from �7500 to �12,000 does anybody know if there are different qualities of uvpc, if so how do you know.

I would also ask for references for work already done, see if clients are happy with work done.

Also, if a relative/neighbour/friend/work colleague has had a conservatory built ask them who built it. If you have seen one being built recently ask owner. Personal recommendation is worth its weight in gold.

Its not just about quality of product but about quality of workmanship as well.

The uPVC is moulded over aluminium frames which give strength and support. Some manufacturers produce frames that are thicker and stiffer than those of others. This reduces the likelihood of any bending and flexing, but the better quality can result in higher costs.
