Superglue

Don't laugh, please don't laugh!
Is there any way of getting superglue off ones hands? Or off a gold ring, come to that.
Please note - I was quick enough to get the ring off, just!

Do you have any nailpolish remover Aq - I think that should do it.

Damn it, Jools, if I hadn't managed to get my ring off it wouldn't have been a question on here, it would have been an A&E job!
I never used to believe the stories about kids putting superglue on toilet seats - I do now!

Good job you were quick!

acetone is the best thing for removing superglue (nail varnish remover is nearly pure acetone)

There is a dearth of nailpolish remover in this household, but I do have plenty of acetone and it is very effective. Thank you all for your good and prompt advice.
