The pull switch in my bathroom has packed up. It won`t click back anymore. It controls the light and extractor fan. I`ve been to Homebase and they have 1 way switches and 2 way switches. Which do I need? Is it the 2 way?

1 way is for a single switch, 2 way is if you want to control the light from two seperate points (like the light at the top of your stairs)
its got to come off so take it to the homebase and they will give you the right one.
Gas-Safe has correctly answered your question but, before you buy a new switch, turn the electricity off and unscrew the cover on the old one. It's likely that you'll find the piece attached to the end of the cord has just become unscrewed from its mounting. If so, simply screwing it up again will fix the problem at no cost.

Thanks for your replies. I guess I get the 1 way. I have unscrewed the cover and nothing has become detached. The clicking mechanism inside the housing has failed. It`s been sticking for a while but now it has packed up completely.
They are nearly all two-way now.
You just connect the single-way connection!
