Most mornings I am finding small gelatinous clumps of dark green slimy substance that reminds me of seaweed,in the garden, usually on paving. It seems to appear overnight, but I have no idea what it is.Any suggestions welcome!

it sounds like a form of lichen or a slime mould

Have you got a cat who's eating grass and sicking it up?

thanks for the help-love the ectoplasm! Definitely not cat puke..it seems to have tiny fronds, is shiny-like damp-and quite sticky...and it appears overnight, quite cloe to the pond.Anything to do with frogs/toads?
A photo might help.
Frog poo?
Liquid kryptonite?
grimlord I had the same sort of thing happen a few years ago but during the winter. This is going to sound ridiculous but it was an orange coloured slime and it was on the grass and didn't go away for a few days - only to reappear again in a different place like you say - overnight! Honestly I am not taking the mick, it really stumped me and I was afraid to tell anyone in case they thought I'd lost the plot! Sorry I can't enlighten you as to what it is, but I'd love to here if you find out any more!
Have a look at Cyanobacteria ?
