Whats the difference please? Are cow beans edible by humans or are they a form of cattlefood? :)

If they're fairly large.. say as big as the end of your little finger and if they are spotted they're known as Cowpeas here in the U.S. Exceptionally high in protein, they are related to kidney beans and useful in any number of recipes...
Your broad beans are called Fava Beans here and are more related to butter beans... but also very useful in dishes...
Cow beans are from the States, black-eyed beans http://www.google.co....AQ&sqi=2&ved=0CDEQsAQ and yes, you can cook with them.
This is broad beans http://www.google.co....aq=f&aqi=g10&aql=&oq= completely different legumes.
