how kind DrF - it's an ongoing 'thing' this fun raising - we are a very large club aand have six horses/ponies to care for which is certainly not cheap - so your good wishes for the sun is most welcome!

morning all, gawd knows why I am up so early when I am on a day off, the cats don't seem to recognise my rest days, tut It's raining too here in deepest Lancashire and I needed to mow the lawns today!

Morning :) Not quite sure why I'm up so early as was out celebrating a friend's birthday last night. Not a big one though (how we know we're getting older haha) though it involved on fire cocktails! Having tea, toast and uploading the photos from last night while watching the Hollyoaks omnibus then off to find a cheap new saucepan as mine keeps coating everything in the non stick stuff! Hoping for a quieter coffee in town as yesterday's was disturbed by the EDL protest and my usual stop was full of police.

Piccadilly Gardens Dr F. Got off the bus and headed towards the gardens and hit a wall of police! Not much of a protest in the end, more police I think and just the normals whereas last time for the EDL march and counter anti-racist/facist one they have them sectioned off in the gardens and surrounded by riot police. A friend on Market St saw two of the balloon sellers get into a physical fight as well apparently! Hoping it will be quieter today!
