I planted a passion flower earlier in the year, it's still alive but something has stripped the leaves. Any ideas what it could be please?

None that I can see, will put pellets down though - could it be ants?
no, ants wont eat the plants although they will be attracted to aphids if it has those on the leaves. Even aphids wont strip the leaves inless the infestation is very severe, in which case you would see them very clearly.
We find snails right high up some of our climbers - I bet it's snails.
