How to repair a lawn?

My newly laid (last summer) turf lawn has been badly damaged by my (male) dog. There are large bare patches. How can I renovate it without re-laying the lawn? It's only about 10sq metres. And are there any treatments that might improve or protect the grass in future?

There is absolutely nothing you can do to cure this apart from training the dog to go elsewhere.

Some people say you should remove the protein from the dog's diet, some say give them more water, plus give them treatments which you can buy online.

But truth is, nothing works. You can copiously water the area then re-seed but you'll be doing that forever.

Good luck

Belated thanks for your comments. Not very encouraging! I will have to learn to love bare patches as much as I love the dog!
