This spring I have seen tubs of pom-pom shaped flowers with small tight heads of petals somewhat like small dahlias, only red pink and white. Tallish stem - up to a foot tall - much like the stem of a dandelion. Obviously far too early for chrysanthemums. Much tighter-petalled than alliums. Each flower-head about the size of a ping-pong ball at biggest. Can anyone suggest a name ?
