New (but not new) Bosch Mower won't work

We were given a new Bosch ALM 34 hover mower a few years ago as a gift. But because our old mower kept plugging on we never used the new Bosch. The old mower finally gave its last gasp this afternoon, so we fished out the new Bosch Mower box which had been stored in the spare bedroom, took the mower out, plugged it in and .... yes you've guessed it, nothing happened. We've tried the obvious things like changing the fuse, but still nothing. I wondered if anyone had any brilliant ideas as to how we could kick start it into life as we now have a half shorn lawn Thank you.

Some mowers have a button near the start handle, have you pushed that button in before starting? without plugging in, spin the rotor a few times & spray WD40 on the shaft. if that fails, new brushes. Ps, are the wire's connectrs secure & in-place within the plug & is the fuse OK?

Yes all of that, it really is brand new. Nothing's seized. There's no sign of life at all.
