I have quite a lot of green tomatoes on my plants outside, but don't seem to be ripening at all. Any ideas please?

Green Tomato Chutney ?

You could always pick them and let them ripen on a sunny kitchen window sill.
I think you can take them in doors and put them on the windowsill to ripen or put in a draw with a red tomatoe and that will help them also.
Banana skins give off ethylene gas and help to ripen tomatoes.
Mazie..I was just about to post that !!!
I did read a week or two back that their was something in the seed that is stopping them ripening this year, doesn't matter whether seed or plants are used as of course both are affected. The professional growers are complaining too. Wish I could remember where it was I read it but it could have been the Sunday Post -rosy
