Strawberries

OK, apart from a leggy rose we have a load of strawberries that
have zillions of runners. We put them in pots and they have mostly
rooted. When to I cut them free from the original plant or does the
runner bit wither of it's own accord.

Cut them as soon as the new shoot has rooted - it won't do it on its own.
