Is there some product I can buy to deter cats from messing on my grass ? I have tried pepper, and some strange sort of green gel lumps, but to no avail. I have heard that you can soak old teabags in washing up liquid and spread them around, but I never have any teabags - I don't drink tea. Any more ideas ?

So you are saying nobody ever mistakes fox poo for cat poo OG? Here's one person who did. And on another thread I told a poster who's name I can't remember that she probably had a fox visiting and not a cat and she eventually came back to me and agreed it was a fox. Of course I'm not saying that in all cases it's a fox, but it is, sometimes. Where do you think urban foxes empty their bowels?

Where would people get these lion dung pellets?
ladybirder if its fox poo, you know because it stinks, its the stinkiest thing I know, worse than rotting carcase. In my experience, cats don't bury their poo or even attempt to, they just scrape stuff randomly with their hind legs. I actually like cats but not in my garden! Happily my dogs keep it mostly cat free.

google half empty bottle of water to scare cats
methyl - the council have intentionally changed the lighting to make the felines appear more sinister. There eyes may glow a really creepy colour now.
It is quite surprising as to how much information there is on this subject on the internet. This seems to be a website devoted to repelling felines http://www.catsaway.org

Woofg I know what fox poo smells like, my dogs roll in it often enough. I also know what cat poo smells like and it's worse than fox poo in my opinion. I know the difference and I'm saying, and I have proved in my link in my last post, that sometimes, some people, mistake fox poo for cat poo. Urban foxes poo in our gardens, I found some right outside my patio door recently. I'd love to know where people think urban foxes go to do their business when they are living amongst us. Every time I say this on AB I get challenged; I should have learned by now not to get involved, especially just before I'm going to bed.

In my experience there are a lot more cats than foxes in urban areas. Feral cats don't usually bury their faeces whilst domestic cats do usally make a token effort to bury them.
