Orchiids

I have a phal orchid bought a few weeks ago which the flowers have now died off and on the aerial root there is what looks like a very small white bulb, is this a new plant that can be seperated and grown on, or is it something wrong with the orchid? I have tried looking it up on the internet but cannot find anything similar, so hope someone on here can help.

Could be a new root or a new flower stem

Thank-you for that link, it was very good, but it did not answer my problem because the bulb like growth on my Phal is actually about 4 inches away from the body of the plant on one of the roots. Guess I shall just have to be patient and see what happens.
