I purchased some sweet pea seeds, canes and twine ... I'm hoping if the good weather continues tomorrow, to turn over a border and mix in some compost, erect some cane wigwams and plant some of the sweet pea seeds! What if anything are you up to our in the garden?

Weeding and pruning. Mostly weeding.
Got potatoes started. Was pruning roses mostly today; but did get the fig tree planted too.
I'll be on my knees most of tomorrow morning.

Once my contrition is seen as sincere I'll be weeding.

Tilly, loads of wedding tomorrow! I have a powerful small electric motivator once the seeds are out. I hope I have the stamina I think I still have ;0)

I am going to plant some rosemary, thyme and sage seeds tomorrow. I lost all mine last year, in the heat.

OG, do you get problems with pests on your potatoes?
When I was younger I would never have thought about buying roses, something about them that I still can't buy them, although I think they're really beautiful. I seem to go for dwarf type plants, no idea why.

Wonderful Tilly, love all of those.
2 pear trees from B&Q planted as they say 2 trees necessary for pollination?
Question Author
Itching to cut the grass, I'll check it out tomorrow.

Tambo, do you reckon you have a good chance of succes s getting them to fruit?
am assured they'll fruit this year as theyre dwarfed. They fill a gap so not too bothered.
Question Author
Hope they're big & juicy tambo!
any gardeners transplanted fruit tree suckers that fruited? I have plum & apple suckers. Whats best done with them?

douglas, I missed you. Contrition, you? Ha ha!! I really enjoy your postings!
Spuds are in. Dahlias tubers are potted up. Begonia corms are in trays and already sprouting ready to pot up. Strawberries are in and going well. Blackcurrants are going well. Hydrangeas were trimmed off a few weeks ago and have been treated with sulphates to give deeper coloured blooms. Gazanias and Fuchsias potted on but still under cover. Trays of Lobelia and Mesembryanthemum on the go on heater pads. Ready to take down the bird feeder and sort out the veg patch. All the pots and tubs are emptied and compost, gardeners sand, Hoss muck & perlite on site ready to start again. Patio is tidied up and ready for the annual coat of cleaner. Lawn has been mowed twice. I have "told she who must be obeyed" that she can have a rest tomorrow. (^_*) We have also put in Lupins, and a few new Perennials, Camelia and other shrubs that took our fancy. Which meant moving others. We are ready to rumble.

Just a thought Geezer.... bit late to be pruning roses. You may be getting rid of this years flowers, ours are up and running.
Only Strawberries Tambo. I take the little plant/root/shoot that is on the sucker and pot it up individually to make a new Strawberry plant, as Strawberry plants only give about 3 years the need replacing.

Blimey togo, I feel a late started reading that. I thought everywhere would be too wet still. Had a few days of sunshine here now, so I'll text out the soil tomorrow.
