Hi, we have a small wall all around our lawn made up of sleepers laid 3 deep on top of each other. However we have seen wasps entering the gap between the sleepers and there are piles of sawdust on the ground. I can only assume the larvae are eating their way out! Does anyone know how we can stop them from entering please. Many thanks

Are the wasps causing any problems? Why do you not want them to do what they naturally do? In other words, does it matter that they are there?

Hi Atheist, I dont want to kill them, just deter them.
We have had to replace one of the beams already!!!
Hi LW. What i would do is get some silicone sealer from BQ. The stuff they seal outside of windows with. You can get in different colors, dound like the brown would be good for you.
Sounds^^^
Or call in a specialist.

Thanks a lot everyone for your help. It's much appreciated
Sounds like they're wood wasps. It's the grubs that are causing the piles of sawdust. I've come across them in wooden window frames and had to replace the affected wood.
Don't those White Anglo-Saxon Protestants get on your nerves? Tell 'em that it's the black lives that matter and they may clear off.
