the editor of the answerbank announced a year or so ago that hate speech would not be tolerated.  i have yet to see any explanation of that or any action on the part of moderators to enact it

I deleted hate speech today. Don't ask for details because I am not discussing it further. I deleted hate speech when I see it.

Untitled - the concept of 'hate speech' is fluid and open to interpretation. 

I am sure any Mod seeing it would deal with it.

But bear in mind, interpretation of the concept is personal.

If you feel a post is definitely 'hate speech', then report it to the Editor for consideration.

there's no point in doing that. the editor has not explained what he considers to be hate speech.

well considering he went to the trouble of announcing it would not be tolerated it might be useful to know what he meant... for example whether or not he thinks posts that endorse violence against muslims or asylum seekers qualify. because the moderation team evidently don't. 

of course that would require him to actually participate in the site. it's a very good example of how he has left you high and dry.
