gerberas

I'm getting married in a few weeks time and am getting an arty friend to do the flowers. We're going for gerberas. We're trying to keep costs down and just wondered if anyone knew of the best place to get hold of these i.e. approach local florists? is there an online shop which sells boxes of gerberas or individual gerberas?

Also, any nice artificial flower websites out there? i.e. individual miniature gerberas?

new covent garden is a good place for fresh cut gerberas if you are in the london area. There are also other regional flower markets.

no help in where to get them, I'm afraid, but gerberas flop very quickly, you might want to read up about what to do to prevent this, I think you have to wind thin wire around the stem.

just thought you might like to no that a perrinial and hardy gerberas as been bred and i believe will be on the market this year
