I have four council bins, a good idea, if you can get another, then you can transfer from one to another every so often.
If Tbird+, Cetti or Clanads around, they'll add or take away from what i've put, but I get some really good stuff doing it that way.

As well as what Lonnie puts in I put all the used teabags in and shredded newspaper and crushed eggshells or anything thing like eggboxes torn up and autumn leaves. .This is "brown " compost and although slower to rot provides fibre and carbon to the mix .
Make sure you site it a bit off the ground for the worms to get in and turn it over often.

Hi and good morning, Lonnie and shaneystar2's advice looks sound to me, I cant think of much else to add other than if you have lots of woody or leathery leaves and twiggy stuff that you would like to compost, it will decompose quicker and more thoroughly if it's first shredded.
You can buy products iecompost accellorators to speed things up Which I think is mainly sulphate of amonia or you could try what Bob flowerdew does by adding recycled beer and cider to the compost, once it has firstly filtered through the kidney's, if you catch my drift . Good Luck Tbird+
