I have a clump of Bamboo in the garden which we have had for about 20years. This year there is very little green but lots of seed, do you think it is having a last go at reproducing before dying?. Some years ago I took a piece and planted it in a pot in the courtyard, even that has been doing great until this year, now it is the same as in the garden.

I have bamboo in a large pot, and this spring I thought it was dying, but someone told me that if I gave it lots of water ( and I mean lots, every day) it would recover. After a couple of weeks it is now beginning to send up shoots from the bottom, and also on the stems where the leaves were brown. If you haven't already done this, it could be worth a try.

Thank you Sixpence, as our garden has spent most of the winter under water I cannot see as that would be the answer, we were thinking perhaps too much water was the problem, but thanks for your suggestion, it's much appreciated,
Had a little chuckle at your answer. Nature always wins, doesn't it? Best of luck.
