its a front garden. 10x15ft approx. currently lawn but we want to use stone. its not a huge slant but with heavy rain the stone might slide.
How about building terraces? You could 'slab' the individual terraces or use pebbles and have 'trailing' plants over the step of the terrace. I've seen it done and it looks very effective and relatively maintenance free.
We have a similar garden and last year made three levels using tar free railway sleepers.If you use stones don't forget to use weed suppressing membrane.We also planted New Zealand flax in various colours to brake up the monotany.
