unidentified plants

can anyone help? i saw a few plants and trees that id like to plant in my garden but dont know what kind they are i have pictures off them, any ideas where i can submit them to find out? thanks

Is it possible for you to post your pictures of the plants on here ? there are many people who may be able to help with ID for you.

I've learnt a lot about plants just by browsing around garden centres and jotting down the names.

well you can't put the actual pictures on but you can post a link to them on here

you could give tiny pic a go

click browse
(hopefully your pics will pop up in a box)
double left click the one you want
click upload now

then you'll get a choice of options, I used the one at the bottom that says direct link
left click on it to hi light
right click & choose copy
right click in your AB reply box & paste

hopefully you'll have a link to a pic, like this

I'm not very good at ID'ing those palm things, there are so may varieties but someone might know which one it is

your second pic looks like a Rhus typhina - Stag's horn sumach

well done! & well done me for giving you the right instructions - I'm not so good at road directions :o)

I'm going to have to try and get some pics on - sounds a bit complicated tho! Re palm, try Chamaerops humilis.

So glad you got some help, I'll have to have a try myself sometime soon! Robinia always comes to the rescue!

I agree about the Sumach ( wear gloves if you prune it, it can causse skin irritation)
And i'm sure Landscaper is also correct with Chamaerops humilis (European fan palm) It's similar to Trachycarpus fortunei from China, both hardy in the UK.

Hi TBird+ yes the help has been fantastic off everyone im going to leave the sumach i think but the other 1 is really nice i already have cordylines and lots of hebes in the garden but definately think i need the fan palm. and some ornamental grasses. can u tell im a new gardener lol

this is my last unknown bush or tree im not sure its in a garden down the road and its hedge like but im not sure if they have made it into a hedge or it can be planted as a normal border plant ty all once again.

Hello bigbus, looks like a hedge of Weigela Florida Variegata, which is deciduous and usually grown as a shrub. Not such a good flower as some of the green leaved Weigela varieties, but makes up for it with the variegated foliage. A good addition to your garden.
