Cordless Mini Trimmers
Does anyone have one of THESE or something similar? I need something light to tidy up plants & the smaller shrubs - I get a man in for the big stuff! :o) I wondered if it will only cut very soft new growth or if it would also be handy to cut down perennials that might be a bit woody?

There won't be anyone working over there if you all take retirement ! well enjoy it all the recent retirees and good luck .
Been to see a weird film today called "THE HAPPENING " don't bother going to see it . It's now getting to that time in our lives when we have to start sorting out hundreds of photos to divide between our 4 off -spring (who ,and I quote ,all want their OWN photos ) just hope I live long enough to do it !!!! Well that's all for now -look after yourselves .Dolly xx

Hi Dolly - the first to arrive & the one who lives on the other side of the planet!...not sure which planet the others are on today.
I was going to scan & post some old pics a few weeks ago & then I remembered my sister's sifting thorough them so you were all spared, haha.
The flowers are self seeded foxgloves in front of a choisya...I think they knew they'd be able to show off just there!

stop telling fibs, it isn't HOT...ok!!....I thought your symbols said HRT, hahaha...in which case it probably is hot.
Well I'm too tired to do anything much today - been awake since 4am so I think I'll just browse the timber section, I love the smell of new wood.
hi to marm when you arrive here (I'm sure neti will get around to reading her email eventually, when she's done flicking through the Bunty)

Dawgs, Dolly and Marm. My computer was infected... or so it seemed. The infection may prove to have involved "only" Google Docs, but that's bad enough. I can't access my documents that are somewhere in there being chewed by a virus, which is bad, and what's even worse is that it's just a couple of weeks ago that I persuaded an illustrator I'm doing some work with to upload his drawings in there inside my text documents - it's like a shared desk that we can both access from different parts of town, with our separate passwords. It sounded like a great idea at the time... now I'm worried about him getting his drawings stolen or something, what do I know (about viruses.) He's a well-known political cartoonist here and we did some work (not political) for a magazine a few years ago where I wrote some stuff and he drew and we're hoping it will develop into something more. But I'm feeling so bad about it right now as he was cautious in the first place about using a shared desk on the internet...
...and as if that's not bad enough, they have now brought in an excavator to dig up pretty much the whole ffffff-in park!! Probably to do with connecting the kiosk with the water-pipes.... which is fine.... I suppose... just hoping they're done soon.
What is it with you and Croatia, Vinnie the Panda, and why is Vincent such a shifty name (apparently); I think it's beautiful. I suppose it's to do with the mob, but still, they must have more than one name between them...
Have a great time together, Neti and Marm!
You know, when Robinia says she gets a man in for the big jobs... she ain't kiddin' either

"We placed Vinnie on two farms in the Midwest during a two week period over the summer" - oh so that's where he is when he isn't where he should be! Good thing you saw that, Robinia!
Gee whiz, thanks jno - what is it? I'm trying it out even as we speak. / I used to live in a small, bigoted town and there was a condom machine hidden away on the street where I lived, just at the corner of my block, and it was so funny whenever I turned around that corner late in the evening to see the looks of the men who were just approaching the machine from the other direction, they used to get that deer caught in the headlight look when they saw me, ha ha ha, they'd turn themselves into mime artists and pretend to raise their arm to look at their watch and not to put a coin in the machine; one turned around so fast he almost fell over... it was a very religious little town. You wouldn't believe how I lived, it was just a simple flat but it was almost on the beach... there was just one street and one railway track between my windows and this great lake that is the second largest on this map. I lived in the town called Jnkping. I've only ever lived in two places that weren't by the coast, and in Jnkping I could have thrown a stone from my window and have it land in that gigantic lake... Don't know if you can see it but there's an island in the lake and it used to vanish and appear like a mirage, like magic...
Any-hoo... happy birthday before it's too late to my biggest teenage crush Dennis from Dr Hook
sweetest

Oh look there's an open-air caf in my park just outside my window...! They're having a kiosk-warming party so it's probably just friends and relatives, but I have to say it looks very nice - I wouldn't mind if it's to be a small caf as well as a kiosk.
You're leaving us, Don(na) jno - che peccato! When will you return to your chiacchieroni? Here's a little something protective if you know what I mean - they'll respect you more if you talk the talk. Hey Donna Robinia, with your ancestry, do you speak Italian at all?
Happy Retirement, Woofy's husband! Don't be a stranger on here Woofy, we want to follow the adventures of your strapping young lads (from a distance, ha ha.) (No they'd be welcome at my house if I had one.)
